Owen-Withee School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their recent meeting.Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor reported on the Angel Tree project that provided Christmas presents to 49 students. A special thank you was provided to Mrs. Korn for leading this project and to the staff members who contributed the gifts. It was also mentioned that Grades 4-8 participated in the National Geographic Geography Bee last week with the school-wide bee running into this week.
Winter literacy assessments are in full swing, the Accelerated Reader outing will be held on January 28th at Perkinstown. Child Development Days will be held on Wednesday, February 4th. This activity gives the district an idea about the 4K numbers for next year. Finally, Mr. Batchelor concluded his report by showing the elementary PLC video created by Ms. Karaba.
Jr./Sr. High Dean of Student Julie VanArk reported on semester finals week, which is during the hours of 1, 3, 5, 7 and that was held Wednesday, January 21st. It was also during hours 2, 4, 6 and 8 on Thursday, January 22nd. All Conference band and choir was held on Saturday, January 17th at Colby.
Class scheduling for 15-16 will begin the week of January 26th and the Jr High Student Council hosted a Soup Supper for the Kyanna Darnell benefit prior to the girls' basketball game on January 16th.
