Jackson County Man Arrested for Possession
Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 -- 2:12 PM
-On January 20th at approximately 2:25 PM, Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office were advised that Dale Laughlin had a valid warrant from Sauk County for his arrest. The Deputies attempted to locate Laughlin at his address in the Township of Albion.Deputies were granted entry to the residence where they located Laughlin and subsequently arrested him. Found on his person was a hypodermic needle, drug paraphernalia, and suspected Meth-amphetamine.
The Sheriff's Office continued the investigation and executed a search warrant on the residence. During the search, the investigators located more drugs, including suspected heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia that were consistent with intravenous drug use.
Dale Laughlin was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for Possession of Meth-amphetamine, Possession of Meth-amphetamine Paraphernalia, Felony Bail Jumping, and under the valid Sauk County warrant. The case is being forwarded to the Jackson County District Attorney's Office with a referral for formal charging of Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Controlled Substance as well.
