CDA Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard some questions about a police door during the public opinion portion of their recent meeting.One resident has been asked several times by members of the community why the police door was changed, why was it replaced, who installed it, was the Council aware of it being replaced, who paid for it and where is the old door? It is unknown where the old door is. Another resident was told the door was not a secure door.
Finally, the council heard the CDA Report from CDA Director Tim Swiggum. He reported that there has been a new interested party in the OMI building which could bring 40 jobs, the RR building is empty and needs to come down, there are now 2 survey quotes to complete the surveys for the Taylor property and Master Packaging property. Next week will be a meeting with a party regarding the Agri-business Park. There are new Woodland Hotel owners. Tim was also thanked for getting all the ads for the new Owen-Withee area map being prepared by the Owen Community Development Corporation.
