Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 -- 9:22 AM
-The Owen City Council heard the Police Report at their meeting on Tuesday of last week. The council was presented the 2014 Annual Police Report. Also, one council member relayed a message from Chief Schade that from now on he wants to deal with the entire Council when addressing job performance, department employees and conduct.
Chief Schade repeatedly feels he is being treated unfairly by specific people. Mayor Heggemeier said those issues are first handled by the personnel committee. If they are resolved, the issue does not go on to the Council. If they are not resolved, then the Council becomes involved.
The council also approved to purchase the 2007 International Truck from Mid-State Truck Service for $33,669.50 and will be paid for by using reserved funds set aside for this purchase. Along with that, they approved to put out for bids the 1968 Ford dump truck.
