Possible Meth Lab Discovered in Clark Couny Hotel

-On Friday January 16th 2015, at about 11:35pm, the Clark County Sheriff's Office received a call of a possible methamphetamine lab in one of the rooms of the Humbird Hotel & Bar at N3041 King Street in the Village of Humbird.The caller reported that there was a strong odor coming from the room and they observed plastic sheeting that was duct taped around the entry door and floor. They also advised that there was a white cloud or haze coming out of the room. While Deputies were responding, it was reported that the occupants were throwing items out of the window of the apartment.
Upon arrival, deputies evacuated the building and made contact with the suspects. They refused consent to search the room so a search warrant was obtained. Members of the State Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation assisted with the warrant execution.
Several items of evidence were obtained, including items used to manufacture Methamphetamine, Methamphetamine and a handgun. No arrests were made but reports will be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for possible charges.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene with the Black River Falls Ambulance and the Alma Center Fire and First Responder units. The Clark County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation of the incident.
