Neillsville School Board Approves Open Campus Policy

-The Neillsville School Board approved their Open Campus Policy.The board recently made revisions to the policy to make it as simple, straightforward and accurate as possible. The district currently has 120 students approved for open campus and, all-in-all, the district has received no major complaints about students taking advantage of the policy.
The board also approved a Memorandum of Understanding and heard an update on the district's 1-to-1 Technology Initiative. This initiative put an iPad in the hands of elementary students and a Chromebook in the hands of Middle/High School Students.
The initiative has gone very well and has opened up new doors for students and teachers. They've had some issues with damage and they may look into some sturdier devices when the district's 3 year contract is up. The district has also had a few issues with students going to sites they shouldn't be, but, all-in-all, things have been going well.
