Stanley Man Sentenced for Stabbing Incident

-A Stanley man has been sentenced for stabbing another man back in May of last year.According to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department, they responded to a stabbing in the Town of Delmar, which is north of Stanley, towards the end of May.
Authorities said there was a disturbance between Brian Savina of Stanley and Patrick Wiese of Lublin and it was during this disturbance that Wiese was stabbed with a steak knife by Savina. Savina fled from the scene after the incident.
Wiese ended up with non-life threatening injuries and Savina was located and arrested at the River Country Co-op Cadott Cenex. During his sentencing hearing, Savina pleaded guilty to aggravated battery. Several other charges including two counts of bail jumping, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, child abuse and 1st degree reckless injury were dismissed and read in.
Savina was sentenced to three years in prison, three years extended supervision, he owes the courts $224.40 and he can have no contact with Wiese or his family.
