Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire Early Friday Morning

-The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a house fire early this morning.The department received the call of a structure fire around 2:20am this morning. The fire was located at N4535 Sterling Avenue in the Township of Hewitt.
When the department arrived, there were flames showing through the roof on the north end of the home. The department was able to contain the fire to the north ? of the house. There was extensive damage in that area and there was some water and smoke damage to the rest of the home.
The Neillsville Fire Department was on scene for 2 hours, there were no injuries on their part, the family living at the home was able to escape and they were not injured and the department did receive some water assistance from the Granton Fire Department.
