Marshfield Woman Sent to the Hospital After Crash

-An elderly Marshfield woman was sent to the hospital after a crash in Marshfield on Friday.88-year-old Rita Gerke was traveling west on 8th Street and had a green light to drive through the intersection at Veteran's Parkway when she was hit by 27-year-old Elise Reding of Pittsville.
According to the Marshfield Police Department, the force of the impact actually caused her car to go airborne and almost hit another vehicle before landing back on the road.
Reding admitted that he wasn't paying attention and drove through a red light. He was cited for the incident. Gerke was treated and released from Saint Joseph's Hospital.
