Wisconsin Milk Price Down 30 Cents

The Wisconsin all milk price for February was $17.20 per hundredweight. Wisconsin Ag Connection reports that according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was 30-cents lower than last month's price and $1.90 below last February.
The U.S. all milk price was $17.10 per cwt., 10-cents lower than Wisconsin's price and 40-cents less than last month. Sixteen of the 24 major milk producing states had a lower price when compared with January, seven states had a higher price and one had no change in price.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $1.73 per pound on March 31, while barrels were $1.48 per pound. The CME butter price was $1.81 per pound.
