UPDATE: Fire West of Marshfield Tuesday, Home Considered Total Loss

-A home west of Marshfield is being called a total loss after a fire on Tuesday afternoon.Around 3pm on Tuesday, the Town of Lincoln Fire Department and Town of McMillan Fire Department were called to the 9000 block of County Road Y in the Town of Lincoln west of Marshfield.
When the fire crews arrived the home was completely engulfed in flames. The family, three adults and two children as well as two dogs, were not hurt in the fire. The father was putting the children down for naps when he smelled smoke and the smoke detectors went off. The fire started in the kitchen and it's believed it was the result of some cooking.
The home is considered a total loss, but some personal items and Christmas presents were salvaged by the fire departments.
