Owen-Withee School Board Approves Contract

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved a contract and discussed a scholarship at their recent meeting.The board unanimously approved a contract with Gloria Sopiarz to provide special education services. The contract is a day-to-day contract with a daily rate of pay.
The board also reviewed the proposed rules for the district to select a recipient of a Technical Education Scholarship. This scholarship will go to an Owen-Withee student each year who will be attending a WI Technical College.
The scholarship, which is similar to the Academic Excellence Scholarship the District has offered for several years, requires policies and procedures be in place for selection. The board tabled the action on the policies until January to provide more time for study.
