Women Charged in Murder-for-Hire Plot Will Proceed to Trial

Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 -- 1:14 PM

-Two Spencer women arrested for allegedly trying to hire someone to kill two people appeared in Clark County Court for Preliminary Hearings on Tuesday.

According to the Clark County Sheriff's Department, 46-year-old Shari Klimmer and 21-year-old Porscha Rizzi tried to hire someone to kill the fathers of Rizzi's two children.

According to testimony from detectives and investigators with the Clark County Sheriff's Department, both Klimmer and Rizzi approached two different individuals about trying to kill the fathers of Rizzi's two children. The women offered jewelry, the title to a vehicle, pills, money and sex with strippers in return for the murders.

After one of the individuals came forward, Clark County Sheriff's Investigator Scott Haines, went undercover as a hit man and was in contact with Rizzi who stated she was serious and wanted the job done. Klimmer also told the individual that she wanted them dead and would "rather be in jail then have the children living with their father." Rizzi went as far as telling the individual that she believed one of her children was being molested by the father hoping to get the individual riled up to go and kill him.

The women provided photos, addresses and vehicle descriptions of the two men. They also said they wanted it done soon because one of the fathers wanted to change custody arrangements. The two individuals they approached came forward because they said the women seemed very serious and were afraid someone would get hurt.

In the end, probable cause was found and both women's cases will proceed to trial. Klimmer and Rizzi have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit first degree homicide. Both women are in the Clark County jail with a $500,000 bond. Klimmer will be in court again on Thursday for arraignment and Rizzi will be in court on the 29th for arraignment.
