Dogs Rescued from Puppy Mill by Clark County Humane Society Doing Much Better

-The 28 dogs rescued from a puppy mill by the Clark County Humane Society are doing much better. The dogs were taken into the shelter after being rescued on Monday of last week from a mill in Jackson County. When they arrived, the dogs were not in the best shape with long nails, poor teeth and their fur needed to be groomed. A vet checked them out last week and found that some also had ear and eye infections, missing teeth, one dog was pregnant and a tumor was discovered on another.
However, the dogs are doing much better now thanks to the vet's care as well as grooming done by area groomers. The past week has been very hectic for the Humane Society, but they're very pleased with the progress the dogs are making. They are also overwhelmed with the response and donations they've received from communities, citizens and businesses throughout the county.
Adoption of the dogs is expected to begin in a couple weeks and if you're interested in adopting one of them, you should begin the paperwork now. Also, the Humane Society would appreciate any time, money or supplies that you could donate as a lot of work still needs to be done. If you'd like to see the dogs, visit the Humane Society's website, Facebook page or stop by.
