Preliminary Numbers Indicate Corn Prices Down from Last Month

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The preliminary November 2014 average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.50 per bushel according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report. This was down 17-cents from the October full month price and 88-cents less than a year ago.The soybean price, at $10.20 per bushel, was up $0.10 from October, but down $2.50 from the previous November. Oats were $3.30 per bushel, down 25-cents from the October price and 90-cents below November 2013.
All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $157.00 per ton in November, up $21.00 from October, but $28.00 less than November 2013. The alfalfa hay price averaged $173.00 per ton, up $16.00 from October, but down $27.00 from last year. The other hay price averaged $95.00, an increase of $5.00 from October, but a decrease of $35.00 from last year.
