$2,500 cash Bond Set For A Jackson County Man

A $2,500 cash bond was set for a Jackson County Man arrested for abusing and strangling a woman under a bridge for almost three hours earlier this month.According to the Black River Falls Police Department, the incident happened under the Black River Bridge on Main Street.
A passerby spotted the woman and contacted police. When the authorities arrived, the woman told them that she was able to escape after being abused for several hours.
The suspect in the incident was located and 30-year-old Gabriel Downey of Shell Lake was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Downey is not allowed to have an drugs, besides prescribed medication, or alcohol and he'll appear in court again in December.
