At the Neillsville City Council meeting on Tuesday night, there was discussion of tavern license transfer for Buck's Dollar ? no action was taken and it was tabled until the next meeting. Also last night, the loan given to the Stepping Stones Learning Center by the city was forgiven. As part of the loan agreement, the Learning Center needed to create 8 jobs in 3 years and they did that so the loan now turns into a grant and will not have to be repaid.
The council also received a $1000 donation from Bonnie Wachsmuth for the Neillsville Police Department's body worn camera program. Chief Klueckmann said earlier this month that all Neillsville Police Officers will be wearing body cameras by 2015.
