Hunters Just Nine Wolves Shy of the Limit for the 2014 Wolf Season

-Hunters are just nine wolves shy of Wisconsin's statewide kill limit.According to the state Department of Natural Resources, hunters had killed 141 wolves as of Tuesday. The statewide limit is 150 animals.
The state's third annual wolf season began Oct. 15. It's slated to run until Feb. 28 or until hunters reach the kill limit. Only two management zones remain open, one in northwestern Wisconsin and one that includes most of the southern and central portions of the state.
