Man Involved in Arson Case in Jackson County has Charges Against Him Dropped

-One of the men involved with burning down the Rustic Mill Tavern had the charges against him dismissed in Jackson County Court.Back in 2011, 42-year-old Brian Adkins was accused of hiring his son, Tyler Keck, and employee, Kyle Rott, to burn down the Rustic Mill Tavern, which he owned, in order to collect the insurance money. Adkins is also accused of collecting and failing to pay state and county sales taxes. Adkins' debt, including some of his spouses, was said to be nearly $1 million.
Adkins was found guilty of arson, but found not guilty of obstructing an officer and making a fraudulent insurance claim. He is currently in the Jackson County Jail waiting to be sentenced which could happen later this year.
For the other two involved, Rott will be in court on December 19th to be sentenced for his part in the crime. Keck had the two charges against him dropped on the prosecutor's motion due to the testimony he gave in court during Adkins' trial.
