Neillsville City Council Appoints Resident to Fill 2nd Alderman Seat

-The Neillsville City Council started their meeting on Tuesday with the reading of Oaths by the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer.Mayor Steve Mabie gave new Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckman an Oath of Honor. Then City Clerk-Treasurer Rex Roehl read the oath to the newly appointed alderman of the 2nd ward, Dan Clough. Dan will hold that position until the April elections and he's replacing former alderman Joe Weirs after his resignation at the end of October.
After that, it was business as usual for the council. The council approved the Police Union Contract as negotiated and approved the Audit Service Agreement with CliftonLarsonAllen. The agreement is $100 more than the previous year.
The board also accepted the resignation of Shannon Huth from the Heritage Days Committee and appointed Deanna Heiman as the new Heritage Days Committee Member.
