October Class III Milk Price Released

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The USDA announced that the October Class III milk price was released at $23.82 per hundredweight.That was down 78-cents from September's record high benchmark price, but $5.60 over October 2013. For the year, the Class III price has averaged $22.83.
Meanwhile, the Class IV price was $1.23 lower than last month's price at $21.35, but was $1.37 more than October of last year.
Last week, the USDA announced that Wisconsin farmers received an average price of $26.60 per cwt. for their milk in September, which sets a new record for the highest monthly price received by Wisconsin farmers.
