Trick-or-Treating in Marshfield? The Marshfield Police Department Has Some Info for You

-If you're going to be trick-or-treating in Marshfield tonight, or just driving through, the Marshfield Police Department would like you to be aware of a few things.First, West 5th Street will be closed between Oak and Adams Avenue. This will take place today between 4:30pm and 8:00pm to add safety to this area due to the volume of children trick-or-treating. Other street closures in the vicinity will include Hardacre and 6th Street and Wisconsin Avenue at 4th Street and 6th Street.
Vehicles wishing to park and walk are encouraged to use the parking lots at Jack Hackman Field or any street where one can legally park. Parking will not be allowed on any streets with the closure. Also, Our Lady of Peace located at 1414 West 5th Street will provide warm beverages and food while supplies last beginning at 5pm with free-will monetary donations going to support families in the area. Parking will be permitted in their lot as well. They will also be collecting canned goods for area families.
During the busy evening, the Marshfield Police Department encourages motorists to drive at or below the speed limit and be watchful of pedestrians at all times. Police officers will be patrolling throughout the city as well as handing out candy from their squads.
