Don't Forget to "Fall Back" this Weekend
Friday, October 31st, 2014 -- 10:14 PM
-Along with Halloween today, Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday as we "fall back" and set clocks back one hour.Make sure you remember to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night before you go to bed. This is also a great time to check the things that keep us safe and ready for emergencies. ReadyWisconsin urges you to check several items and remember several items this fall.
You should check you smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, inspect your furnace, don't run a gasoline or propane heater inside, don't run your car in an enclosed space, generators should be a safe distance from your home and make sure you have an emergency kit.
Daylight Saving Time is a perfect time to get a kit and if you already have a kit, check it to make sure food and other items are not near or past their expiration dates.
