Administrators' Reports at the Owen-Withee School Board Meeting, District

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting on Monday of last week.District Administrator Bob Houts notified the board that the FFA will be taking two overnight trips. Mr. Engel and 10 students will be heading to Louisville for the National Convention October 28th through November 1st. Also, the FFA will participate in a 212/360 conference in Green Bay on November 14th and 15th.
The district held its fall in-service day on October 10th. Kristen Gundry from CESA 10 lead the staff through the Educator Effectiveness process and introduced them to Teachscape, an online service used to create and monitor the part of the EE process. Teachers had time to create their Student Learning Objectives, Professional Practice Goals and do their self-review which are all parts of the EE process.
The Rural School Conference will be held in Stevens Point on November 12th and 13th. Mr. Houts encouraged board members to attend this conference focused on the needs and advantages of rural schools.
The WASB state education convention will be held January 21st-23rd in Milwaukee. The district has two rooms reserved. Registration for this conference will open in early November.
