Monday, October 27th, 2014 -- 10:22 AM
-The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a call on Sunday afternoon. The call came in just before 5pm on Sunday. It stated that there was a gas odor and leak at 1200 Grand Avenue in Neillsville, a residential property.
When the department arrived, they found a gas meter on the south side of the duplex that looked like it had been damaged. Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer said that a resident told them someone had been mowing lawn earlier that day.
The fire department shut off the gas at the home and waited for WE Energies to come and fix the issue.
There was no damage to the home, besides the meter, and the residents living there were not injured.
