Friday, October 24th, 2014 -- 10:11 AM
-The Greenwood School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.John Waters requested to be paid $300 from the beginning of his time working with Greenwood again and that was approved.
Several volunteers were approved as well including Rebecka Bogdonovich, Karen Dallman, Kathleen Nigon, Martin Nigon, Gail Rose, Michael Ruff, Jana Schmitz, Wayne Ledin and Pat Susa. Dean Bogdonovich's resignation as the basketball coach was approved and the athletic trainer contracts were approved.
The Greenwood School District is also looking into hiring a teacher for the 2nd Grade Sage Program. The class has 19 students in it and the board approved to hire Theresa Wilkinson for the district's second teacher to teach second grade. However, at the time of the meeting, they have not received a call back from her to officially accept the position. They also had some parents' request that their children remain in Mrs. Eckdahl's classroom and it was explained to the board that if parents want their children to remain with the current teacher they may do this, but it may result in an unbalanced class size.
