Owen City Council Hears a Few Reports

-The Owen City Council heard a couple reports at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.Several departments have recently turned in their proposals for the 2015 Budget for the City of Owen. The data was not yet entered into the system so no reports were available that night.
One council member reported he attended the Owen-Withee Area Development Corporation meeting on October 6th. The group is working on a map project for the Owen and Withee area. There are 25 ad spots that need to be sold yet before the map can be printed. The group is asking if Tim Swiggum can help sell some ads being that he is familiar with the area businesses.
Finally, the council heard the CDA Report from CDA Director Tim Swiggum. He reported the he is working in conjunction with the USDA Rural Development regarding a lien for a water main that runs through the Dollar General site. A local business is looking into the OMI Building and maybe taking on the grant and clean up of the property. The building that houses Mystic Rhapsody is being resided. Swiggum has not heard from Brian Bredlau. The Council was presented a letter update from James Louks.
