Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports

-The Neillsville City Council heard a number of reports from the various city committees during their meeting on Tuesday of last week.The first was a report from a Parks and Recreation meeting. The Recreation Director, Judy Lindner talked about the great participation in the summer programs. Parks Director Regan Barth reported on a new bathroom being built in Schuster Park and new equipment installed in Cliff's Park among other things.
The next was a report from a Historic Preservation Commission meeting. The commission ordered calendars featuring Neillsville's historic and commercial buildings. They also discussed maintenance of the 1919 Case Steam Engine in Schuster Park.
Finally, they talked about their 2015 budget and using the money for updated brochures and talked about possibly placing the Gates House, 18 Hewett Street on the Local Historic Landmark Register.
