Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including mowing, weeding, equipment maintenance, street sweeping, placing fall decoration, picking up brush, hauling compost, etc.
Public Works Director Dave Flynn also said that the paving and landscaping of the walking path to the Arboretum from Apple Valley's driveway is complete. Water is expected to be turned off in the park and the meters pulled on Monday.
The department also replaced a culvert on the old railroad right of way. Excel Energy is paying for the culvert. They also removed the fountain from O'Neil Creek.
Finally, Dave mentioned that Well 4 will need to be rehabilitated and they are working on scheduling a contractor. They also worked on creating landings for several sewer manholes along O'Neil Creek so a contractor can come in and clean/televise the main.
