An initial investigation indicates that a Tree Skidder, operated by a 63-year-old man, had just pulled out onto Catlin Avenue from a residential driveway with two children riding along. The man said that his 4-year-old grandson was standing next to him one minute and, when he looked again, he was gone. The man realized he had run over his grandson and stopped the vehicle.
The boy was pronounced dead by Clark County Coroner Richard Schleifer and the Sheriff?s Department determined that speed and alcohol WERE NOT factors in the accident. The Clark County Sheriff?s Department is continuing to investigate the incident and this is Clark County?s 6th fatality for 2014.
