(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -AgSource Laboratories has relocated its Food and Environmental laboratory to Marshfield.According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the new facility is three times larger than the previous lab in Stratford, and includes more office and storage space.
"After 30, successful years in Stratford, we needed to look for a larger facility," said Eric Helms, vice president of laboratory management. "We believe this new building will enable us to more efficiently serve customers' needs."
Testing services were switched to the new facility over the summer. Helms says more than one million samples are analyzed in this laboratory each year. Key areas of testing include milk, water, wastewater, food product, pathogen and culturing. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building was held last week.
