-The Jackson County Sheriff?s Department is asking for the public?s help in finding a woman charged with the death of a Neillsville man.26-year-old Randi Rupnow was charged with homicide by negligent driving when she turned into the path of a motorcycle, driven by 28-year-old Jesse Rauk of Neillsville, on Highway 12/27 in the Town of Adams back in October of 2012.
Interviewed witnesses initially told authorities that Rauk was traveling well above the speed limit and he collided with Rupnow when she turned into a private driveway. Rupnow said she never saw the motorcycle. After an investigation, authorities determined that the road was flat, there was an excellent sight line and the crash was caused by Rupnow?s decision to turn into the path of the motorcycle.
Rupnow was supposed to appear in Jackson County Court back in April for a hearing, but failed to show up. A bench warrant has been issued for her arrest and her $10,000 signature bond was forfeit. If you have any information on her whereabouts, please contact the Jackson County Sheriff?s Department.
