(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Dedicated conservationists across Wisconsin will have an opportunity to receive statewide recognition for their achievements as Gathering Waters Conservancy kicks off its annual Land Conservation Leadership Awards.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the awards recognize the conservation accomplishments of individuals, land trusts and policy makers for their efforts to protect Wisconsin's working lands, wild places, and scenic rivers for future generations.
Established in 2003, award categories include Land Trust of the Year, Conservationist of the Year, Land Legacy Award, Policymaker of the Year, Rod Nilsestuen Award for Working Lands Preservation, and Harold 'Bud' Jordahl Distinction Award.
Honorees will be recognized formally at Gathering Waters Conservancy's annual Awards Celebration in September. Nominations are due by April 16. For more information or to nominate an individual, go to: gatheringwaters.org/nominate
