Wausau Teen Sentenced in Marathon County for Crime Spree

-A Wausau teen involved in a series of burglaries in Marathon and Taylor Counties was sentenced in Marathon County on Wednesday morning.Johnathan Kuy, of Wausau, and Nicholas Draszkiewicz, of Medford, were charged for breaking into the Farm and Home and Hickory Nutz Sausage in November. Kuy was also charged with breaking into Happy Joe?s Pizza.
Back in August, Kuy was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, two felony counts of burglary with a dangerous weapon. Two misdemeanor counts of theft of moveable property were dismissed, but read in.
Kuy was sentenced to 5 years in prison and 5 years of extended supervision. However, the extended supervision sentence was imposed and stayed assuming he completes the 8 years probation he was also sentenced to.
Kuy?s partner, Draszkiewicz, was sentenced to 20 days in jail in Taylor County back in June for his part in the crime. Kuy is also facing charges in Taylor County and is scheduled for a jury trial in November.
