Clark County Sheriff's Department Collects 78 Pounds of Pharmaceuticals During Take Back Initiative

-On Saturday September 27th, the Clark County Sheriff?s Office participated in the 9th annual National Pharmaceutical take back initiative.The Sheriff?s Office had collection sites in the Cities of Owen and Neillsville. Approximately 78 pounds of pharmaceutical drugs were turned in and removed from our county?s medicine cabinets.
The department collected about 8 lbs. from the Owen site, 46 lbs. from the Neillsville site and 24 lbs. from the prescription drug drop box located at the court house.
According to Sheriff Gregory Herrick, Clark County will be continuing to participate in the Take Back Initiative.
