Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Fire in the Township of Levis

-The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Monday afternoon.Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer said they received a call at 5:25pm reporting a structure fire with smoke in the home. The fire was located at W5621 Todd Road in the Township of Levis.
When the department arrived, they saw flames coming from a lower level bedroom window on the northwest corner of the home. The department had the flames down in about 5 minutes.
There was some structural damage to the home including in a lower level rec room. There was also some smoke, heat and water damage to the home as well.
The department was on scene for an hour and twenty minutes and they had no injuries on their part. As to the cause of the fire, Chief Meyer said that it wasn?t determined at this time, but he believes it may have been electrical wiring in the ceiling.
