Neillsville City Council September Committee Reports

The Neillsville City Council went over many committee and department reports at their meeting on Tuesday as the each department prepares for the city?s 2015 budget.The council heard the Finance Committee report which was held after the City Council Meeting at the beginning of September. The committee talked about the levy limit freeze, the 9.9% increase in health insurance, wage negotiations and holding the line on budgets. The council also approved the auditor, appraiser and insurance consultant. A schedule for the budget meetings was created as well.
The council also heard the Tourism Committee report. This was the meeting where the $500, from the 70% Room Tax, was approved to the Neillsville Chamber to finish the contracted request, from April of this year, for a marketing campaign in TravelHost Magazine.
