Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Fire at Local Business

-The Neillsville Fire Department was called to a dumpster fire at a local business on Tuesday evening.The call came in around 8:40pm on Tuesday and was reported as a dumpster fire at Cummins Filtration here in Neillsville.
When the department arrived, there was a fire smoldering in the dumpster, which is normally located next to the building, however, the employees had dragged it into the street using a forklift.
The fire department soaked the dumpster and extinguished the flames. Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer stated that the employees were tearing out some paint line and he believes that there was some spontaneous combustion regarding the paint line and some oil rags.
The department was on scene about 20 minutes, there was no structural damage to the building and no injuries were reported.
