Owen City Council Approves Site Plan for New Dollar General

-A site plan for the City of Owen?s new Dollar General was presented to the Owen City Council.A second driveway has been added on Madsen Street. The Planning Commission met on September 6th and approved the site plans for approval and recommendation to the council, which the council did approve.
The council also approved $2,500 in additional funds to complete the Mill Pond Park project on the north end. It was also mentioned that horseshoe pits will be moved behind the bars.
The council heard the CDA Report from CDA Director Tim Swiggum. Mr. Swiggum reported the Dollar General Site Plans have gone through Zoning and Planning. The RR paperwork has been completed. The attorney has both checks and will issue them soon. Two different parties have viewed the Woodland Hotel. Louks has reported that he expects an IPO shortly and that a buyer is already lined up to purchase the stock options.
