Stanley Man Sentenced for Standoff

-A Stanley man has been sentenced for causing a standoff with authorities at the end of July.According to the Stanley Police Department, they received a report of a neighbor dispute on Lincoln Street in the City of Stanley, back in July, and that a firearm had been discharged.
Authorities tried to make contact with 41-year-old James Colburn inside his home, but they were unsuccessful. Eventually, SWAT teams were called in to defuse the situation and Colburn did surrender.
Colburn was found guilty, due to a no contest plea, of operating a firearm while intoxicated. One count of disorderly conduct and one count of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety were dismissed and read in. Colburn was sentenced to 1 year probation, must go through an AODA assessment, cannot have any drugs or alcohol and must participate in any counseling deemed necessary.
