Eau Claire Man Found Not Competent for Court Proceedings in Jackson County Court

An Eau Claire man arrested in Black River Falls after he was found passed out in a vehicle was found not competent to stand trial in Jackson County Court on Monday.

According to the Black River Falls Police Department, back in August of 2018, Chris McMillian was found passed out in a car, blocking a driveway early in the morning.

A witness woke McMillian up and he tried to drive away, rear-ending a parked car. The department said that McMillian was uncooperative and refused a field sobriety test.

McMillian was found not competent for his court proceedings to continue.  The judge ordered medications and McMillian was committed for evaluation to try and restore his competency.
