Fewer Abortions In Wisconsin In 2013

A new report says Wisconsin residents obtained fewer abortions last year.According the Associated Press, the state Department of Health Services released its annual report on abortions on Wednesday. The report says 6,251 state residents obtained abortions in 2013, down from 6,692 in 2012.
The number of abortions occurring in Wisconsin also fell, from 6,927 in 2012 to 6,462 last year, continuing a five-year decline from 8,542 in 2009.
The report says 215 Wisconsin minors obtained abortions last year. They had written consent from an adult in 186 cases. Twelve were emancipated minors and 17 got court permission to waive consent.
