Wisconsin propane industry leaders don't expect the kind of shortage crisis that occurred last year.Wisconsin and other Midwestern states grappled with a propane shortage toward the end of last winter due largely to extended periods of frigid weather, a pipeline closure and heavy propane demand for drying grain.
Wisconsin Propane Gas Association President Chris Tews says the industry learned a lot from last year. It simply couldn't get enough propane where it was needed fast enough.
Tews tells WBAY-TV that dealers and residents are more prepared and are being proactive this year.
