Wednesday, August 27th, 2014 -- 9:23 AM

-The Neillsville City Council handled several personnel items at their meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

One of the biggest items from the Personnel Committee Meeting, held just before the regular Common Council Meeting, was the retirement of Neillsville Police Chief Brad Lindner.

Chief Lindner offered the committee his retirement letter yesterday evening. After 33 years in law enforcement, the last 13 being the Chief of the Neillsville Police Department, Chief Lindner will be retiring as of September 30th. The committee and the common council accepted his resignation and thanked him for all his years of service.

Along with that, the committee and council approved putting half of Chief Lindner?s sick leave pay into an account that will be used for his health insurance after his retirement.
