Clark County Board Asks for One Referendum Question, But Rejects Another

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved several resolutions at their meeting on Thursday of last week. One resolution passed was about the Voter ID law passed by the state legislature. The law is currently in limbo as various courts decide whether it?s constitutional to ask voters to show their ID at the polls. Supporters believe it will help with reports of election fraud.
This resolution asks that Governor Walker put a yes or no referendum question on the November 4th ballot as to whether or not the residents of Wisconsin want to have the voter ID law in place.
Another resolution, like the Voter ID one, did not receive approval by the Board of Supervisors, however. This next resolution asked that a yes or no referendum question be put on the November 4th ballot as to whether or not the residents of Wisconsin want to have the Common Core Education standards in place.
The Department of Education feels that all Wisconsin schools should implement the standards, but Governor Scott Walker has decided to reject the Common Core standards and have the state legislature come up with standards that better represent the will of the people of Wisconsin.
