-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved several resolution at their meeting on Thursday of last week. The first was a resolution making changes to the employee handbook, more specifically the Forestry and Parks Department section of the handbook.
They made some changes in the language that will allow them to have a more streamlined recruitment and selection process of limited term employees, interns, seasonal and temporary employees as well as any internal promotions.
The second resolution passed allowed the Forestry and Parks Department to continue to have Clark County be a part of the DNR?s Conservation Aids Program and Fish and Wildlife Project.
The state legislature passed a law that allocates funds on an acreage basis to counties for the improvement of fish and wildlife habitats with the condition that counties match the state allocation. The passing of this resolution gives Forestry and Parks permission to budget for the programs in order to receive those funds.
