Fire in Owen Ruled Arson

-A fire that decimated the inside of a building in Owen that was home to the Owen-Withee Enterprise and Company Store Fitness has been ruled as arson.The Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire Department received a call about a fire around 4:45am on Sunday, July 6th. Both Company Store Fitness and OW Enterprise saw substantial loss in the fire. Many of the paper?s archives were destroyed in the blaze. The OW Enterprise has still been coming out weekly even with their building destroyed. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire.
Investigators have ruled that the fire was set intentionally. If anyone has any information about the fire, you?re asked to call the Owen Police Department at 715-229-2161 or you can remain anonymous and call the Arson Tip Line at (800)-362-3005. A $5,000 reward is being offered.
