Clark County Fairest of the Fair Talks State Fairest of the Fair Competition
Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 -- 11:12 AM
-Tonight is the Fairest of the Fair competition at the 2014 Clark County Fair.Dale Erickson spoke with Caroline Wolf, the current Fairest of the Fair, about the state competition and how it compares to the county level competition.
Miss Wolf said, "The state competition was really interesting and a lot of fun. It taught me a lot about the fair industry and I learned a lot about etiquette. It's a 5 day long process and the judging is very similar to what we actually do for our Fairest of the Fair. We have a one-on-one interview, a small group interview, write a 30 second self introduction and a radio advertisement. So it's very similar to what we do here. It's a 5 day process and you learn a lot about the Wisconsin State Fair. It's a lot of fun."
The candidates running for the competition this year include Kelsey Rueth of Neillsville, Miranda Fabian of Greenwood, Brooke Noah of Thorp, Katarina Nemitz of Neillsville and Shania Gorton of Loyal.
The candidates, along with Miss Wolf, will be touring WCCN this afternoon and participating in a brief radio interview around 3:30pm.
