Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 -- 1:14 PM

-Neillsville native Jeromy Brown is playing in the IWRF Wheelchair Rugby World Championship games in Denmark.

The 33-year-old Brown has been on the national team for 2 years.

According to an article on Paralympic.org, the USA wheelchair rugby team is on the brink of one of the most impressive achievements in sports as they aim to win their fifth International Wheelchair Rugby Federation World Championship. After only winning bronze at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, the defending world champions are determined to succeed in Denmark.

The USA squad was unable to make the trip to the recent Canada Cup but have still been well committed off the court to make sure they are peaking from day one of the tournament.

USA has already played two games, both on Tuesday, and won against France, 62 to 41 and New Zealand winning 54 to 37. They will play again on August 6th against Sweden, August 7th against Germany and August 8th against Japan.
