Man Arrested in Stanley on Saturday After Standoff with Authorities

-One man was arrested in Stanley on Saturday morning after a standoff with authorities.According to the Stanley Police Department, they received a report of a neighbor dispute on Lincoln Street in the City of Stanley and that a firearm had been discharged.
The Stanley Police Department and Chippewa County Sheriff?s Department responded to the scene. As they arrived, the suspect, 41-year-old James Colburn was witnessed walking back into the home.
After notifying nearby residents of the situation, authorities tried to make contact with Colburn, but they were unsuccessful. They were also trying to determine if he was armed and if his wife and children were in the home. It was later confirmed that they were.
The Chippewa County Combined Response Team and Eau Claire County SWAT team were also brought in to assist with the situation.
Eventually, Colburn did surrender and was taken into custody. He is currently in the Chippewa County Jail and will be charged with Recklessly Endangering Safety.
Colburn?s wife and children were not injured in the incident and the incident is still under investigation.
